SEPNET is a voluntary evaluation association founded on the basis of providing a platform for a community of practices for evaluation professionals in Somalia. SEPNET is conceived after recognizing the need to harness non-government and government-led efforts to promote evaluation practices, good governance, evidence-based development and recognizing value evaluations have in improving citizens’ lives.
Currently, SEPNET has over 20 members (of both experienced and emerging evaluators) with diverse backgrounds, vast knowledge, robust skills and extensive experiences in monitoring, evaluation, development, policy formulation and institutional capacity development.
SEPNET will act as a watchdog for the public interest in several ways including promoting an awareness on localization and tracking performance of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and National development priorities.
SEPNET is determined to foster an affective collaboration with government, civil society organizations, development partners, agencies of United Nation, non-governmental organizations and like-minded professionals within Somalia and beyond
To be a champion for evidence-based decisions through Evaluations
To cultivate a vibrant community of practice that supports, guides and strengthens the development of monitoring and evaluation in Somalia as an important discipline profession and instrument for empowerment and accountability
